NUOVO&ANTICO Vintage is suitable for do-it-yourself use to maintain the worn appearance the articles over time. Being a single product for both the primer and finishing coat also makes it suitable for industrial use and construction industry applications, for the repair and conservation of old metal structures. IT can be applied directly on new or aged iron, steel, Corten steel, galvanized iron, copper and cast iron. Not having to pre-treat the substrate and the special structure of the non-drip gel makes it easier to repair and improve hand-crafted and artistic articles.
APPLICATION
The product should be mixed well using a paint stir stick and applied as it is or slightly diluted with turpentine 080.000 with a brush or roller.
On oxidized metals: remove any loose or flaking rust. On new metals: make sure that there are no residues of oil or mill scale. Apply directly to metal even if it is oxidised, provided that any loose rust has been removed. Wait at least 24 hours before applying a second coat. Do not apply in adverse conditions: temperature min. 8°C, max. 30°C and max. 85% relative humidity.
